Crown Case #3

August 12, 2019 By Team Member

Crowns are the standard of care for treating teeth that are damaged by decay, the breakdown of filling material or loss of enamel due to chewing forces while the root of the tooth is still healthy or endodontically treated.

In this case, we see all three types of damage to the crown of the tooth. Dr. Beers must remove the unhealthy tooth structure until only the healthy part remains. He then builds up the tooth to prepare it for a permanent crown that has been made in office or in the lab.
